Spencer Duquette VS Carter Lee WINNER: Spencer Duquette
On the roll of a lifetime so far, Spencer Duquette's turn around with his luck in the ring recently has been the talk of the town on social media. There has been a groundswell of support for the international star who has shown that he truly has what it takes to make it. Last week he had one light on his vest lit up and this week, there was another showing there was a little bit more emphasis on his self esteem. Tonight he took on a well known name in Abbott Pro Wrestling in Carter Lee. A show of respect started the beginning of the match with a handshake and the match itself panned out into a very competitive back and forth that left fans on the edge of their seats. For every submission hold Carter tried to apply, it felt like Spencer had an answer as he slipped out of hold after hold. Spencer would end up picking up another win on his hot streak.
Samual Moor appears It had been several weeks since Samual Moor wowed Abbott Pro Wrestling crowds with his shock appearance to ultimately help Skyler West win his match against Korey Richmund but would turn on him in a snap. Since then, Samual had been making Skyler's life what he classed as a living hell and it didn't stop at dealing with him during his matches. Multiple videos surfaced online over the weeks of Samual catching up with Skyler in some form or another in many different places and causing a massive scene that was anything but fun for Skyler. He showed face this evening to much fan fare which died down a little after he finally chose to start talking. He referenced the last few weeks and just how much fun it had been to turn Skyler's world upside down for the sake of making him as miserable as he makes everyone else by existing. There was a reason why their former employer never wanted to give him any sort of step ups in their careers as they went on to be solo performers and that was because he didn't grind hard enough. He expected the hand outs. He got complacent. He had all of the talent in the world but squandered all of it by being a petty little bitch who needed someone else to do the work for him and that person had been himself for the longest time. It wasn't Samual's fault that Skyler failed while Samual succeeded. The time for the blame game was over and it was officially time to put up or shut up because while the last few weeks have been nothing but fun for Samual, he's ready to cap off that part of his career and put Skyler West to bed. He proceeded to throw the challenge out for a no holds barred, anything goes I quit match to find out who really is the superior athlete. The fans were in agreement with this proposition and cheered for it as Samual would head to the back.
Ainsley Darlington VS Winnie Cromwell WINNER: Winnie Cromwell
Coming off of a bitter loss in the women's championship tournament, Winnie Cromwell felt like she had a little bit more to prove as she took on Ainsley Darlington. What started out as a really good match between two skilled competitors turned into a breeding ground for violence because Ainsley fell victim to Winnie completely becoming fully unhinged and losing her cool entirely. The match nearly got thrown out by the referee when Winnie would not let up on Ainsley who somehow became busted open after being shoved into a ring post face first and hurled over the steel steps. By the time that Winnie was finished with Ainsley who was a bloody mess in the ring, she hadn't even got the three count. She was simply awarded the win via referee stoppage because Ainsley was not getting up or even anywhere near flinching.
Aleki Mitchell and Mikaele Mitchell VS Noah Dawson and Rory Parker
After a shock debut from the Mitchell brothers last week, it didn't take them very long to find competition which came in the form of Noah Dawson and Rory Parker. The arrival of the Mitchell brothers was a huge reminder that the tag team division was heating up in Abbott Pro Wrestling and this weeks outing only proved that in droves. The match was an incredibly back and forth go around between two tag teams that seemed to try one upping each other at every turn. Aleki did not seem overly impressed with Noah's flippant way of performing, and would turn the tides with a hellacious blow that nearly took him out entirely. If not for Rory breaking up the pin, the brothers would have been the winners at that point in time. However, they would go on to win the match after Mikaele held back Rory whilst Aleki performed a finishing move to batter Noah for the one-two-three. The brothers reminded everyone after the match that they were there to take over, and left every bit a success as they showed up.
Raya Williams VS Katyana Mikhailov WINNER: Raya Williams
The finals in the women's tournament to crown a brand new women's champion was now in the closing stretch and fans were clamoring to find out who their new champion would be as two strong contenders faced off against one another in what felt like a match that may not have seen an end. There were a myriad of close call finishes including a near double count-out. There was no telling who was going to come out the victor with how close it was with each pinfall or move that would normally put someone out. The match would finally come to it's frenzied finale when Raya, previously dealing with a bit of a losing streak, would come out the victor and be crowned the new Abbott Pro Wrestling Women's Champion. After shaking hands and even hugging, Katyana would make her way to the back and Raya would be presented with the new title belt by independent wrestling legend Sherri Linwood. Ecstatic by all of this, Raya held the new title proudly as a way to show through hard work and believing in yourself, anything was possible. What no one was expecting, however, was the sudden attack by Sherri who took an exhausted Raya to the woodshed and then left her laying there. No reason or rhyme. The fans were left booing as Sherri took a dramatic bow and left without a word.
Lindsey Taylor VS Cooper Kelly WINNER: TIME LIMIT DRAW
A match that had been building for a couple of weeks saw mainstay Cooper Kelly face off against international star Lindsey Taylor in what was meant to be a submission match. It was exactly that because both men seemed to be relentless in the attempts to take each other to a whole other place as far as wearing an individual down and then bending them up into a pretzel. There were plenty of combinations that the both of them put out there just for the other to find the key to that lock and get out of it. Cooper nearly found himself on the end of absolute frustration with his opponent because he couldn't seem to get the better of him and that nearly cost him because he was put into a submission hold that almost would end the match entirely, but neither of the two talented submission artists would find out who was the better man because the bell rang without either of them giving up and the match came to a time limit draw, which left many people incredibly unsatisfied including the competitors.
Harvey Grove VS Ashley Sharpe w/ Jason D'Masi WINNER: Harvey Grove
In the main event of the evening, we finally drew to a close on the men's tournament finals to crown a new Abbott Pro Wrestling World Champion. The betting odds had really saw a favor in Ashley Sharpe given the way he had gone above and beyond in ways to cheat during the tournament. What we ended up getting was a blood covered final as Harvey and Ashley went into an any means necessary state of mind, coming to epic blows with one another. Jason D'Masi would make his presence felt by attempting to distract the referee as Ashley went to clobber Harvey with a diamond encrusted championship ring he'd won early in his career but as the referee was sending Jason D'Masi packing and straight to the back, Harvey would be the one clobbering Ashley and without a weapon to speak of. He made sure that there was no kicking out of this and hit Ashley with a Deathrider before picking up the win, crowning him as the new Abbott Pro Wrestling World Champion, another decision that the fans were heavily behind that evening. Thankfully the presentation festivities for Harvey went over a lot smoother than it did for Raya as independent wrestling legend Cloud Fairbanks would hand over his new title with congratulations and no ill will behind it. Harvey would take that belt to the crowd with him, presumably to celebrate among the people.
