FRIDAY NIGHT MAYHEM!

Harvey Grove VS WILDCARD WINNER: Harvey Grove

The first match in the second week of championship tournament matches would start off with a wicked surprise when Harvey Grove would face off with Dutch star Archer Thorn, who we would find out was not alone later on in the match. A competition between fast striking and grit would leave fans breathless in their opening match, seeing both men doing absolutely anything to take the other man down. While we were all used to seeing Harvey use everything but the kitchen sink, we saw the same if not more out of Archer who was more known for his ability to out-wit most of his opponents through intimidating mind games and quick kicks and punches. Part way through the match the referee would go down through an accidental knock down and the lights would go out to the confusion of everyone but when they came on, a darkly dressed blonde girl whom commentator Tommy Arden identified as Charity Sully, Archer's black magic witch, was in front of Harvey and immediately spit black mist into his face before rolling out of the ring, sending fans buzzing. The referee came around and Archer went for the pin, but to the shock of Archer and the delight of the fans, Harvey would still kick out. Despite his inability to see very well, Harvey would overcome the odds and manage to take Archer out with a death rider and move on to the next round.

Baxter Irelund VS Mystery Opponent WINNER: Spencer Duquette

Early in the week a video surfaced on social media of Baxter Irelund pacing the hallways of Abbott Pro Wrestling headquarters, completely and utterly stark raving mad, screaming at a door marked 'CEO' about how he is sick to death of not being given the same opportunities as everyone else and when he does get a chance, he's blind sided by, as he put it, "nimrods on the outside". He cited how it was bullshit that Ashley Sharpe could have Jason D'Masi at ringside and win a match for him and he demanded to have an actual one on one match with someone who wasn't a coward. The video concluded with the door opening to reveal the CEO of Abbott Pro Wrestling: the man the company was named after and founded upon. He told Baxter if he wanted it so badly, he'd give him a match that week at Friday Night Mayhem against someone he'd never faced before and someone the company has never used either. To make things easier on him, a ringside ban was in affect and he'd get that one on one he so desperately desired. The match came and Baxter was ready to fight, anticipating some joke on him given everything that had gone on for him recently, but he did get a formidable opponent in international star Spencer Duquette. Despite being on the wildest losing streak in history, which Baxter was all too happy to laugh about in this man's face out loud, Spencer would actually engage in a massively back and forth physical match with Baxter. Baxter nearly picked up the pinfall after a piledriver, but Spencer kicked out, causing the Baxter to grow irate and yell at the referee, giving Spencer time to both recover and roll Baxter up rightly for the pin and much to Spencer's surprise... he won!

Draeven Narvaez VS David Thomas WINNER: Draeven Narvaez

The second tournament match of the evening saw rough and ready David Thomas facing the powerful Draeven Narvaez. Both men had strong standings to move forward in this tournament and would fight it out in a match that fans were on the edge of their seats for. In the ring and out of the ring, both men nearly took each other out on whatever they could find within reason and the referee exercised his discretion wisely in this match. After a flurry of offense from David on the outside of the ring, Draeven almost didn't make the ten count to get back into the ring, but barely made it just before the ten count was called. This, however, set him up in a vulnerable position where when he was up on his feet again, David came in like a wrecking ball with a spinning back fist to the face, knocking him clean out for what should have been the three count and a possible broken nose if the red on Draeven's face was anything to say about it. Shockingly, Draeven kicked at two and three quarters, enraged like a bull seeing red and managed to Razor's Edge David into the turnbuckles roughly, actually gaining a pin for himself and an advancement into the next round of the tournament.

Percy Lupton VS Ripley Gold WINNER: Percy Lupton

In a backstage segment earlier in the night, Percy Lupton and Ezra Fitzherb were seen still riding the high of their first match back as a tag team and they were promptly interrupted by the duo of Ripley Gold and Aiden Zhouli who were also no strangers to international fame as a tag team. Ripley and Aiden would take the piss out of Percy and poked more than just fun at his ability to get hurt over and over again, which prompted an overzealous shit wolf to try and come to blows, but Ezra interrupted, holding the smaller man back, and then commented about how if they have a problem with either of them, they could solve the issue in the ring. The other duo turned down the immediate match, but issued a counter-offer of if Percy could both beat Ripley and also stay healthy in the process, they could have a match the following week. Ezra accepted on behalf of the already ready to fight Percy and the two men faced off later in the night. The match between the two men on their respective teams saw sensational back and forth moves to where you would think that they both seemed to have the better of one another. There wasn't much they did that didn't make the crowd gasp, cheer, or boo; though the fans seemed fully behind Percy the entire match. Aiden would try to interfere to turn the tides for his tag team partner, but he would be promptly introduced to not only Ezra's right hand, but also an octopus hold to keep him out of the ring while his tag team partner would pick up the win, leaving both Ripley and Aiden completely irate.

Raya Williams VS WILDCARD WINNER: Raya Williams

Not having the greatest of luck lately with her series of matches, Raya Williams tried her luck with not knowing who her opponent was in this tournament match for the women's world championship. The wildcard on this end of the bracket would surprise many because it would be revealed to be Australian powerhouse Samantha Garlande. There was a boat load of physical power in this match between both women who gave it their all to advance to the next round. The crowd, while appreciative of Samantha and her prowess in the ring, were fully behind Willow and they helped carry her to a solid victory, breaking her dry spell and gaining her a solid win for the first time in a very, very long time.

Cooper Kelly VS Luke Edwards WINNER: Cooper Kelly

A fun match between two young talents saw Cooper Kelly and Luke Edwards battle it out for nothing more than just to see who the better man was. Luke Edwards would wow the crowd with his smooth like butter high flying antics, but the crowd would also be treated to a lot of stiff kicks and painful looking submissions. For as much as Luke would keep gaining the offense, it would be kicked away pretty quickly both physically and metaphorically. The win would come to Cooper Kelly who had Luke in such a tight arm bar, some would argue that he potentially separated the man's shoulder. Upon having his arm raised, Cooper would ask for the microphone and began to talk a big game about how there was no one quite on his level when it came to making people hurt and submit and until further notice he should be referred to as the Submission King, because absolutely nobody could touch him. This was almost like a beacon of sorts, because soon after, Lindsey Taylor would emerge from the back to a healthy pop from the crowd who saw the challenge being laid down without the words. He did, however bring a microphone with him and laid down a challenge to him verbally, stating that Cooper couldn't be declared a King when Lindsey hadn't relinquished the throne. Visibly irritated, Cooper would come back with an answer, accepting Lindsey's challenge and stated, "I'm going to kick your bloody head in and make you tap, sunshine." with the most mocking and terrible British accent possible.

Mina Irving VS Jennifer Knowby WINNER: Mina Irving

Two women who weren't entirely strangers to one another, the unusual Mina Irving and Jennifer Knowby found themselves in a very competitive match to gain access to the next round of the tournament. Mina would try to use her tactics of manipulation and mind games to over throw Jennifer, but the orange haired fighter was not deterred in the early going. Mina would wind up bleeding after a helacious shot of her head bouncing off of the steel steps and catching the very edge of it and that almost only seemed to bring her further into a point of motivation and anger. This propelled her into a win and she was more than happy to rub it in Jennifer's face that she would be moving on to the next round.

Coyote Vandenberg VS Lilly Azuroth - STEEL CAGE MATCH WINNER: Lilly Azuroth

The animosity between these two women had been building for weeks now with the harsh words of Coyote Vandenberg being the catalyst between the two. This match was meant to be the blow off for the entire nasty feud that seemed to have no end in sight and it did not disappoint. While both women were entirely capable of beating the tar out of each other, and they did, they also used the cage as a weapon in multiple spots including one in which Coyote decided to dive off of the top of the cage to stop Lilly from getting out of the door. Unfortunately for her, Lilly was already on the move and Coyote came crashing down entirely onto the mat, leaving her vulnerable for the beating of a lifetime from Lilly. The two women nearly broke the steel cage with force several times, and nearly broke one another as well. The victor and the owner of the proper bragging rights was Lilly, who finally proved the loud and unfounded Coyote wrong about who was the weakest link in one hell of a main event match.
