FRIDAY NIGHT MAYHEM!

Ezra Fitzherb Open Challenge WINNER: Percy Lupton

Opening this weeks show was Ezra Fitzherb's Open Challenge, putting out feelers to anyone in the back that wanted to try their hand at facing an international star yet again. The week prior saw a great back and forth battle between two people who knew each other quite well, but nothing could prepare Ezra for how well he knew his next opponent. From the back came Percy Lupton, donning his trademark wolf mask. Percy was known for. The look on Ezra's face spoke volumes. Tommy Arden on commentary noted that it has been years since Percy has been in a wrestling ring due to injuries that caused setbacks and an early retirement. No one was expecting this to come around. When things died down and the two stood in front of one another in the ring, Ezra held his hand out to Percy for what looked like a shake between two old pals, but what he got was a nearly lights out punch to the face, dropping him like a rock. Percy would grab a microphone and tell Ezra to shut up for a change before citing the most scorched earth promo about how he abandoned him for Japan when he needed him the most. How he fought tooth and nail to get back into the ring because he had a point to prove and an axe to grind. The shit wolf still had things to accomplish, and beating Ezra was one of them. Once the referee deemed the match a go after making sure that Ezra could function enough to fight the other man, the match started and it was an absolute barn burner to start the show that was aptly named Mayhem. The match was as back and forth as it got, each man knowing the other incredibly well, but the win would come when Percy somehow managed to hit Ezra with a top rope brain buster and captured the three count. After the match, the two men were incredibly emotional in the ring in separate corners and when it seemed like one or the other would attack each other, instead they embraced in an even more emotional hug, giving the fans a happy ending to an insanely well done match.

Skyler West appearance.

After the shocking events of the week prior, Skyler West came to the ring to address several things including what he mentioned was the biggest elephant in the room and that was Sam Moor. Skyler made sure to tell the crowd that his win was not one that was a fluke, and he didn't need the help of a Judas like Sam Moor. He would attempt to verbally run down Sam, saying that it was obvious he couldn't take the fact that Skyler's career was even more successful than his because he was still active throughout the years when he had to retire and it was eating away at him. He couldn't leave well enough alone after that talentless hack Korey Richmund brought him up, and he showed up to be a wolf in sheep's clothing. To Skyler, Sam had always been a massive turncoat who would throw everyone including his own daughters under the bus if it meant getting what he wanted. He stated that the biggest difference between himself and Sam was that Skyler knew his worth and after tonight, he washed his hands of Sam Moor who could go eat shit for all he cared. The crowd would be strong with boos as this entire verbal tirade went on, and Skyler would leave to a myriad of colorful comments from many fans who had a disdain for what he had to say.

Coyote Vandenberg & a partner of her choosing VS Lilly Azuroth & a partner of her choosing. WINNER: Lilly Azuroth & Rudy Anders

In a video posted to Instagram and Facebook, a challenge was issued by Lilly Azuroth to Coyote Vandenberg to have a match this week after Coyote had verbally torn Lilly apart after her match a week prior with the idea that Lilly was the weak link and she was not. The challenge laid out was to prove her otherwise and that she wanted to meet Coyote with partners of their choosing. Coyote would agree, and the two would meet with their respective partners. Coyote's being long standing Abbott Pro Wrestling's witchy woman, Mina Irving, and Lilly's being Abbott Pro Wrestling's newest acquisition for the women's division, Rudy Anders. The match was a fairly strong tag team bout where the question of who was weaker was even harder to discern. The win would come for Lilly's team, but the pin would be from Rudy on Mina after a hellacious fireman's carry powerbomb.

Luca Tate VS Maxwell Lloyd WINNER: Luca Tate

Two young men with and endless amount of talent in Luca Tate and Maxwell Lloyd would come together and put on one hell of a match to wow the audience. For Luca, however, it was far more than just audience entertainment. This young man had more of an axe to grind in this bout after having lost his first televised match in a no contest thanks to Skyler West. It seemed as though every strike here was a crushing blow that almost seemed as though Luca was thinking of Skyler and what he wanted to do to that man. Maxwell was the unfortunate one to get the impact. The aggression was too much for him to overcome this time, and Luca would pick up the win.

Erik Grim VS Carter Lee WINNER: Erik Grim

A very competitive based match had put together two talents who had yet to meet one another in the ring at Abbott Pro Wrestling. Erik Grim and Carter Lee put each other through the ringer, the two competitors having conflicting styles that seemed to also compliment one another in a very fast paced match that could have easily gone either way. But it seemed as though the month of July hadn't been entirely kind to Carter because he would lose the match to Erik, who also seemed incredibly focused. Commentator Tommy Arden noted that Erik and Akasha Corrigan had been in each other's crosshairs recently, and he pondered the idea that perhaps something was going on that was benefitting Erik there.

Raya Williams VS Jennifery Knowby WINNER: Jennifer Knowby

Two faces that have seen a little bit of bad luck lately, Jennifer Knowby and Raya Williams squared off in a fun match that saw the two of them in a battle of strength between the two. Both women wowed the crowd with surprising offense and had many close calls between them. Unfortunately for Raya, the losing streak would continue as Jennifer picked up the win following a high impact pile driver that left Raya needing help to get to the back.

Ashley Sharpe w/ Jason D'Masi VS Baxter Irelund WINNER: Ashley Sharpe w/ Jason D'Masi

Another challenge that came about through social media, Baxter Ireland challenged Ashley Sharpe and his "big dumb dog" to fight him, claiming that he was sick and tired of him running his yap about how wonderful he is when there are people far greater than he'll ever be. Baxter claimed he may not be one of them, but he sure as hell wanted to beat the piss out of him. The match itself was fairly all Baxter until Ashley had the referee distracted and Jason interfered on multiple occasions, laying out Baxter and rolling him into the ring as Ashley got out of the referee's way and went to gain the win.

MENS AND WOMENS TOURNAMENT TO DETERMINE NEW CHAMPIONS ANNOUNCED

To square off the evening, a video package highlighting the rich history of Abbott Pro Wrestling gave way to an announcement that starting the following week, the company would be holding two separate tournaments simultaneously to determine new holders for their mens and womens championship titles. Brackets have yet to be announced, but will be within the week on social media platforms. This event is expected to be several weeks long, and should be incredibly exciting to all involved.
