Raya Williams VS Winnie Cromwell; APW Women's World Championship Match WINNER: Raya Williams
After weeks of tormenting the women's division in Abbott Pro Wrestling to get a shot at the Abbott Pro Wrestling Women's World Championship, Winnie Cromwell was getting her wish. Raya Williams gladly accepted the match that was desired and met with her this week to open the show. The match was just as hard hitting and determined as anyone and everyone expected it to be. Both women had something to fight for here despite that saying that there was a champion's advantage and the desperation to win showed between both women. Winnie would bust Raya open fairly early on in the match, blood becoming more evident by the second as they continued to fight one another and Winnie thought she would have the advantage after such tactics had gone down, but Raya would come back strong in that match and try to put Winnie in her place. A few outcomes were diverted, and in the middle of the match, Sherri Linwood would make her presence known by sneaking down to ringside. She would distract the referee at one point which gave Raya a moment to reverse what was going on with her and Winnie and she rolled her adversary up for three count, leaving a lot of people pondering why Sherri helped Raya pick up the win if she was so against her in the first place.
Segment with Spencer Duquette, Ezra Fitzherb, and Percy Lupton.
Emily Smith went straight to work this week with three young men who had been taking Abbott Pro Wrestling by storm, Spencer Duquette with his massive turn around from a string of not winning for quite some time, and the duo of Ezra Fitzherb and Percy Lupton who recently captured the Abbott Pro Wrestling tag team titles. Instead of beating around the bush asking quaint questions about how the tag team titles were treating the duo, Emily straight up asked the burning question to Spencer: what was going on with Keiron Laughlin and the posse that accompanied him in last week's attack? Spencer was somber in his response and stated that he probably has more people who want him gone than who wants him around, and he's admittedly been pretty shitty in the past, but he's since been given a new lease on his career and life and he's been trying to turn those downs around, but because of his past he does have some skeletons in his closet. Trouble is the closer they get to October, it feels like more of them keep falling out. He does have a detailed past with Kieron back in Japan, and he didn't expect it to follow him to Abbott Pro Wrestling, but here he is and he wants to face it like a man and he appreciates Ezra and Percy helping him last week when the odds were against him. Emily then posed the question that there were three of them, and four of the aggressors here; where did they make up the odds with one person? Spencer would try to respond, but Ezra would wave it off and interrupt by stating he had a great idea and knew someone who could even things up without question. This was left vague as they wandered off, leaving Emily confused.
Bastian Ravenshaw w/ Ryder Evans VS Ashley Sharpe W/ Jason D'Masi WINNER: No Contest due to count out.
Mid-week saw a confrontation between Bastian Ravenshaw and Ashley Sharpe at the Abbott Pro Wrestling training facility where Bastian would rip Ashley a new one verbally for what he had said the week prior. Things would get physical and many people had to tear the two apart. This resulted in general manager Hanako Abbott bringing together a match between the two men this week. Both men had their respective back up and partners at their sides. The match had begun at a break neck pace, the crowd completely alive for what was going on in front of them. This match never got the chance to cook as much as people wished it had simply due in part to the fact that the two men would end up brawling outside the ring, up the ramp, through the crowd, and into the back. The referee couldn't stop the flow and the match would end on a count out with no winner, but it took multiple groups of people to bust up what was going on. It was clear this wasn't the end for this feud, and that it was set ablaze by hatred for one another.
Segment with Charity Sully, Eric Drahken, and Archer Thorn.
Pitch darkness filled screens but would give way to a center light that was incredibly dim and coming forth was the sight of Charity Sully, who spoke in the calmest tone possible. She touched on the events of the week prior, pointing out how it seemed as though people, namely Akasha, were completely comfortable trying to play with darkness without ever knowing what true darkness really was. That would easily come back to bite her, because when you know nothing, that means you don't know what lies in the darkness waiting for you. Emerging from both sides of Charity were Eric Drahken and Archer Thorn, Archer taking the lead now calling out Erik Grim, stating that a man who followed a woman was not any less of a man, but Erik Grim was nothing more than a little boy following around a little girl who was fucking with hubris. If he were a real man, he'd find himself another partner to come find out what truly plays in the dark. They'd be waiting. The frame dipped into total black once again.
Valerie Bardot VS Karleigh Pierce WINNER: Karleigh Pierce
A simple one on one match booked by general manager Hanako Abbott for the spirit of competition would lead to Valerie Bardot and Karleigh Pierce coming to blows. Valerie was coming off of a loss a few weeks prior to Winnie Cromwell and had been gone ever since, but she was more than happy to come back and fight the good fight. The two put on a well based match that was every bit as enjoyable as one would hope from the stacked women's division at Abbott Pro Wrestling. The winner would wind up being Karleigh Pierce, who was just as surprised as everyone else that she won.
Jett Smith VS Mystery Opponent WINNER: Lindsey Taylor
Jett Smith had continued is tirade of talking trash about Spencer Duquette and anyone who chose to associate themselves with him. He challenged any one of them to step up to the plate, but what he wasn't expecting was the challenge to come from Ezra Fitzherb's allegedly great idea instead of any of the three of them. That great idea was Lindsey Taylor, who had come right off the heels of winning the final match in the saga he had with Cooper Kelly. When Lindsey came out, Jett would wave it off like it was no big deal and that he could take the 'little bitch' as he called him. But what happened was anything but what Jett was expecting. The match itself was a competitive one, both sides of having a very strong showing which had many people wondering where this was going to go and who was going to win. Jett had a few upper hand moments due in part to his own strength but Lindsey had used his very unique techniques in getting out of tight spaces to get out of those predicaments. The likes of Iggy Gabris and Hank Wyatt would try and interfere a time or two but they were chased off by Ezra Fitzherb and Percy Lupton who had no qualms starting any trouble with that team. This would leave Jett a bit more vulnerable and Lindsey capitalized, squeaking by with a win after putting Jett to sleep in a submission hold, rendering the bigger man unresponsive to the referee.
Samual Moor VS Skyler West; Steel Cage Match WINNER: Samual Moor
In what felt like an endless loop of Looney Toons moments to get here, Samual Moor finally got his wish of his steel cage match against Skyler West after Abbott Pro Wrestling General Manager Hanako Abbott intervened and finally forced the match to take place, threatening Skyler's job if he didn't show up that night. The match proceeded and it would be a classic for the ages with all of the history built up between Samual and Skyler, adding in the violent elements of the cage itself. At several points, medical had to check in on both men to make sure they weren't injured, but thankfully no one would need that sort of assistance after the fact. Even after a very sketchy dive from the top of the cage by Samual onto Skyler who took the full force of the other man. This match felt like they both had things to prove regardless of what and whom they were proving it to because they were relentless when they really applied themselves. In the end, Samual would get his revenge he had been seeking and made it out of the cage on his own volition, bloody and battered, while Skyler laid there in a heap, defeated and in need of assistance out of that ring.
